Thats what I thought, I understood the general idea of the lines and the way they move due to alliance battle wins but as Ingram says there is now nothing there to fight for control of. So the lines are now irrelevent. And the battles are just another way to get faction, which for the time spent there you dont get much of.
Maybe a way to increase the number of players would be to increase the amount of faction gained for a win.

They just changed that you cannot see other 8 players? You guys talk in such way that looks like they changed the game to RACING or some other different anomaly. Are you ...sane?

It is 6 days until the oficial release, people like me still don't have their retail at home and pre-order is locked right now, so please be patient, the next few weeks will bring a lot more players in the 12v12 than the current situation.

Just went to the alliance battle outpost there seemed to be plenty of people in the Kurzick outpost. However after 1min of general chat being full of nothing but 'LOLZ SUXZONS!! LOL!1!' I left again with no intention of ever going back. Even worse than RA.

>< Or because we're still waiting for the CE.

Actually for those of you saying it's cause people lack factions at all you need to look around - regular GW is about empty - a lot of the towns in Factions are pretty full. And when they first opened the ABs there were tons of people there for the first day or two and now there aren't any, so I doubt that it is also do to not having a leader for their hall as well..... I am betting on the thread that says BRING IT BACK personally.

I even had a guildie that has factions check out the districts and such after the headstart and such was over - there were still a ton of people in Factions just no one wanting to do the new AB system.

Arcador it's not only that you can't see them but you cannot talk to them either to coordinate without the Luxons knowing exactly what is going on. It's just a real pain!

And I recall that in the FPE getting our butt handed to us by Luxons just as much as us Kurziks handed it to them -it "seemed" pretty even to me. The luxons also during the FPE seemed to have their act together better than most Kurziks teams I rolled with (once we got our act together it was a good face off down to the last 10pnts). Our guild started Kurzik and for now has not made any alliances cause we aren't sure if we want to stay Kurzik cause we have been talking to some pretty good guilds on the Luxon side that so far just seem to not like the new version of ABs.

Not really. I played on the Luxon pretty much straight through that weekend. There were many times that the line was pushed very deep into Luxon territory and the best we could do was try to bring it back into the default. It was bad enough that at a few points the "line" looked more like a giant upside down question mark into the Luxon area.

The answer is simple. Not everyone rushes through the game for 12 hours a day. Many people have not made it there yet. Only about 2 people in my guild have made it that far yet out of 20+ active people.

I was a huge fan of the 12v12 prior to the changes. I must admit, my enthusiasm has waned hearing of the new changes. I'm admittedly borderline (at least) fanboy of ANet and GW, but this is disappointing.

I do, however, believe they'll fix it.

I don't play 12vs12 because i don't have Factions. As good an excuse as any

Why i don't have Factions? Because with everything thats gone on recently, Anet are just screwing up there own game so i don't really wanna waste my money on it. If they can't stop fu cking things up, like the MM which was the most enjoyable build then i really can't see any reason to keep playing into Factions.

When they can't even abide by there own Lore, it makes me wonder how compitant they actually are. What was it someone mentioned earlier regarding MMs in a booklet from Anet... somet along the lines of 'control dozens on minions'. So a dozen is 12, a Bakers dozen is 13, does that mean an Anet dozen is 10?
